Entrepreneur workshop from June 3-4: Jumpstart to Facilitating Entrepreneurship (JFE) is a two-day workshop hosted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Development (CEED) that uses entrepreneurship as a tool to engage participants. Held on June 3-4 and November 18-19, the workshop will allow participants to expand their facilitation skills, learn effective communication approaches and get hands-on practice. Renewable energy from June 3-4: The 3rd annual Renewable Energy Conference will be held in Halifax June 3 and 4. Producers of renewable energy, manufacturers, suppliers, large energy consumers, municipalities, and governments are meeting to discuss the advancement of wind, tidal, geothermal, biofuel, biomass, and solar projects and technologies in Atlantic Canada. With an anticipated $6 billion in renewable energy project expenditures in Atlantic Canada between now and 2014, the conference is attracting local, national and international delegates. DHBC’S annual Clean Sweep on June 4: Summer is just around the corner, which means it’s time for the DHBC’s 14th annual Clean Sweep. The event takes place on Wednesday, June 4 in Grand Parade and serves as an opportunity for business members to get outside and contribute to a cleaner, more beautiful downtown. We invite you to register a maximum of two teams of four to six people to participate in the cleanup, which is followed by lunch and prizes. Novaknowledge 15th Anniversary luncheon on June 5: On Thursday, June 5 in the Port Royal Rooms of the World Trade and Convention Centre, novaknowledge will launch the SPARK Awards, recognizing the people making the provincial economy thrive. Diane Francis, author of Who Owns Canada Now, will speak on the opinions of Canada’s 75 billionaires, and where business is going. Luncheon scheduled for 11:00 am until 1:30 pm.
