Several cases of dog poisoning have been reported during the last few days.
This morning two dead canines were found in the vicinity of Buffalo Street, one a collie, and the other an Irish terrier.
Mr. Kerr also had a valuable hound poisoned few days ago, and a veterinarian was called in to revive the animal.
The poison being used, it is said, is strychnine, and the police are investigating.
At a meeting of the board of directors of the Y.M.C.A. last night it was decided to have two new shower baths placed in the bath-room for the use of the members and to have the bath-room lined with tile.
The improvements will certainly add much to the present conveniences.

Few people today realize the arts and skills which have been lost over the years, Rev. Canon W. J. Zimmerman, president of Brant Historical Society, pointed out to the members at last night’s meeting in the museum.
He was commenting on an address by Elliott Moses, who spoke on “Indian Relics” illustrating his remarks with a number of exhibits. The relics, reminders of Indian life on this continent over the centuries, included an eagle feather head-dress of the Sioux tribe, a velvety-soft buckskin suit from the Iroquois, and wampum beads, each with a tiny hole bored through it - no one today knows how.

Mrs. Ann Wilson broke her leg in an accident last week but it did not stop her from directing the Brant Choraleens at the group’s first public show on Saturday.
She performed her duties sitting in a wheelchair.
A capacity crowd of more than 450 attended the event entitled Moods ‘N’ Music at the Brantford and District Civic Centre. The 40-member barbershop-style group hopes to make the show an annual affair.

You get major points for writing in complete sentences with punctuation. This automatically puts you in the top 1% of personals for people who find coherence an important quality.
It’s just an ordinary personal ad; there’s far better and far worse out there. Nothing remarkable about this one at all……and actually that’s an A chord, not an F chord although since he’s only playing the root and 5th that’d be called an A5
So what are you going to do about it?edit: and these stories aren’t very funny…
I see it and hear it more and more all the time. I just decided to comment on it now. I first noticed it listening to some Microsoft hack on a technology podcast. I’d say 80% of every answer he gave began with “So”.Not that I’ve pointed it out, you’ll see it too, and you are doomed to madness.
Long winded but fun to read, beats a hell of a lot of banal content on here. So upmoded
I’ll add more context because I see I’m being downmodded:I am actually a female who’s casually looked through online personals. I would swear most of them are posted via drunken monkeys pounding randomly at a keyboard. Hence, my above comment was made in full sincerity — personals that use full sentences do stand out above the rest.To give more insight into the content of the personal, however, I found it rather bland. The “either jeans or a suit” line is especially cliched. So many personals have this that it’s almost meaningless. I was going to say to give more concrete examples of stuff you do, but rereading it I see that you did mention e.g., your 5K run, writing, so I guess you do have that covered. The paragraph that starts “I enjoy being romantic…” is going to be chancy for you. A lot of women will probably look at that and go “ew, desperate dweeb” — but the women who look at it and think it’s charming are probably the types you’d like more anyway, so it might function as a good gatekeeper for you.
Why harp on the obvious?
good read, made my shitty day better. lost my job and my mom’s house burned down last night but i still LOL’d at these
I’m assuming most redditers are socially inept like me. Why am I asking? Heck, why not. A miracle could occur and a hot redditer near me might get in touch. Then again, pigs may fly.
This new trend of starting sentences with “So” is really getting on my nerves. This log is riddled with it. I see it a lot here on Reddit and Digg.Where did it come from? It’s gotten a lot worse in the last year.
this is just one story from story log. check out the rest - they don’t use “so” so often
Dude you seem so gay.
