Man jumps into Elizabeth River after crash on bridge
PORTSMOUTH (WAVY.com) — No charges had been filed late Monday morning against a man who jumped off a bridge following a crash overnight.
The 2-vehicle crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the West Norfolk Bridge around 2am Monday. A man in one car was transported to Maryview Medical Center with injuries to his leg, Portsmouth Police Spokesperson Ann Hope told WAVY.com. Witnesses said the man driving the other car ran from his vehicle and jumped into the Elizabeth River.
One witness reported seeing the man swimming toward Portsmouth.
The unidentified man was found walking on Mt. Vernon Avenue in Portsmouth, not far from where he was reported to have jumped. It was unclear if any charges would be filed against the man.
Teams searching the River included members of Portsmouth Police, Portsmouth Fire departments as well as the U.S. Coast Guard.

Fine fine, but you don’t need to bark your orders at everyone.
We must end The War on Dogs!
I predict he will be charged with terrorism and sentenced to life in prison.
Why couldn’t the guy just jump off the damn bridge alone? Why did he have to take the dog?
