Chelsea Clinton visits Regional Hospital

TERRE HAUTE — Chelsea Clinton made a return trip to Terre Haute on Thursday to talk about her mom’s plan to provide affordable health care to all Americans.
“Mom” is Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who is hoping for an Indiana primary election victory over Barack Obama on May 6.
Under her mother’s plan, “Everyone will be covered … and no one will be denied [coverage] because of pre-existing conditions,” the 28-year-old told about 225 people in Terre Haute Regional Hospital’s front lobby atrium.
Hillary Clinton’s $110 billion health care reform plan would require all Americans to have health insurance.
It calls for large employers to offer health insurance or contribute to the cost of coverage. Small businesses would receive tax credits to help them cover employees.
Lower-income individuals would be eligible for tax credits to afford health coverage. The tax credit would be designed to limit the premiums to a percentage of a family’s income.
Under the proposal, people could keep their existing policies, choose from an array of private plans similar to what federal employees are offered or enroll in a new government-run plan similar to Medicare.
Clinton’s audience Thursday included health care professionals, college nursing students, high-school students, school administrators and government officials.
Similar to an earlier appearance at Indiana State University, Clinton primarily responded to questions from the audience. She was accompanied by Dr. Irwin Redlener, president of the Children’s Health Fund, who also spoke and addressed questions related to Hillary Clinton’s health care proposal.
Audience members asked questions about insurance coverage for mental health issues, health care coverage for veterans and the impact of her mother’s plan on private health insurance companies.
“There will be different rules governing the way the health insurance industry operates,” Clinton said. “We’ll regulate more stringently the insurance industry than we do today.”

Bravo, Johnny Depp! I support anything that shows celebrities actually do care about people around them. You don’t see Britney or Paris Hilton doing these sort of things.
No, you can’t say that. Save it for the man-love subreddit.
anyone else freaked out as much as johnny depp to realize that a tiny girl was kept under a red sheet the entire time he was talking to the adults?and she somehow sounds like 1932 production of madame butterfly
I agree, but I did keep hearing that name a few months ago. Can someone explain?
