funnier if it was properly synchronized.
Guess I’m not. Made me laugh.
Yeah.
Your neurotic behavior is the website’s fault, got it.
I’m in the habit of highlighting/selecting as I’m reading, as it helps me focus (I am slightly ADD/OCD). I imagine many people do this kind of browsing subconsciously, so when I move to highlight another passage, a window pops up. I rarely read NYtimes online as a result.I don’t think I should have to inconvenience myself to to see a site’s content.Sounds to me like this is a web design issue.
I’m pretty sure mainstream newspapers already write for a 3rd grade reading level, don’t they? Ok, 6th grade tops.
The whole point is that this lets them use bigger words with confidence that the reader will know what it means.
I find it interesting that you assume that simply because YOU find the site inconvenient, it MUST be the same for “the largest number of people.”How do you know most people do not simply prefer this feature and that is why it is there? Why is your assumption that the site isn’t “accessible” for the largest number of people?
Grandma, how did you get on reddit? I thought you didn’t sign up for any websites that didn’t have a phone number on the front page!
