Upcoming election on minds of many

april cards e fools

Doctor-patient confidentiality? What about doctor-editor confidentiality?
What happens when an editor has a physical, and the physician confides that he soon will announce that he is running for office? The patient editor respects a secret, and the news breaks on a blog forum instead of the newspaper.
Priest-parishioner confidentiality? What about priest-editor confidentiality?
A priest can’t divulge what he hears during a confession, but what happens when a priest asks an editor if he is taking a job with the county? Will an editor go to, well … the deep, deep South if he divulges that the priest asked one evening last week about the rumor that he heard that morning on the radio? (Note to my pastor: Change the station. Note to readers: I will not change jobs.)
Wow! Everywhere I go these days, it seems the talk is the same. Politics. … Government. … Public affairs. …
Must be an election year, and elections must be near.
I have elected to seek the talk. That’s why I attended an Anderson City Council candidate forum last Tuesday. That’s why I’ve been a regular lately at Anderson County Council meetings.
Just wait until filing for most races ends, just before April Fools’ Day. Then the serious noise will begin.
Anderson Independent-Mail will contribute to the din. We’re planning candidate forums. A few, in fact, are coming this week. We’ll begin with city council candidates (see details in today’s Local section).
We are pleased to partner again with WRIX (103.1 FM), which will broadcast the forums live. Morning show host George Ducworth and I will alternate asking questions. We plan to pass out index cards on which citizens can suggest questions. If you can’t attend, send me questions via e-mail.
We also are pleased to partner again with Anderson University, which graciously makes auditoriums available. We must note that AU is not endorsing any candidates.

    Oh snap!

  2. Cory says on :

Link doesn’t work. But is that her new line of attack? Could it be that she just doesn’t have any respectable and mature criticisms left in her arsenal so she’s throwing this last one out in a last desperate attempt? I wouldn’t be surprised you know considering how low her campaign has gotten. Thinking about it, its quite devious and could appeal to the paranoid segments of the American population, which is quite large it seems : Obama can’t be elected president for reasons she cannot state (the reason she cannot state it is because she doesn’t have any good reasons, except that she desperately wants to win the democractic nomination). Let the paranoid crackpots make up their own theories. Obama comes from a very unusal background so this could stick to him in their minds.

man its like finding a needle in a haystack lloking for those dolphins

  4. Spirit says on :

If gore runs again he will kill Hillary’s chance to win and we will have a Republican president. I think this is the best chance to get Mit Romney into office.

  5. Eileen says on :

I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Uh, I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech that he gave in 2002..

  6. Ava says on :

can you guys even imagine Al Gore as our new/current President?……………… any ideas of what would have changed?

  7. Deshaun says on :

If Gore runs and wins. (Of course he would have to steal the election) You had better hang on to your wallet, convert to cash. Your taxes will go up and social spending and redistribution of the average peoples earnings will be transfered to pay for lazy welfarites. It will be a sad day if Albore wins. Jimmy Carter will have some competition for the worst president in history.

  8. Trevelyan says on :

Because it’s a source of pleasure, and “conservative” people have a problem with things that feel good.My parent were Catholic. I was raised to believe in a god who didn’t like one damn thing about me.. but he loved me!

  9. Kellie says on :

    why is seeing sex “corrupted?”

  10. Lois says on :

Isn’t Albore on the Apple board? Not sure. But if he is why wouldn’t he say this about he twit? He would have a direct line to the president. All you libtards have a chubby for an article that is pretty one sided. What did you expect the guy to say? Albore sucks.

  11. Jason says on :

Amusing (it took me a while to notice that there were dolphins in that image) but it’s hard to take someone even mildly seriously when they’re typing in all caps. Reminds me of the “ME TOO” days of the internet.

  12. Roland says on :

Yellowsnowman7: Gore Will become president if he runs… unless Mike Gravel and Ron Paul run together, then it’s no telling.

  13. Rodolph says on :

To further prove his point Jobs then announced “one more thing…” and pulled the curtain back on the newest addition to the Apple family, the iVote.
