Yesterday, the Lake Elsinore Storm, a Padres Single-A affiliate, invited BB to work in its media relations department.
The club's announcement said Bonds could have “a cushy Media Relations position (with slight pay cut from $19.3 million), full use of baseball facilities and, of course, expanded cubicle space with barcalounger and plasma TV.”
Said General Manager Chris Jones: “We just think the way he has handled the media with such grace over the years that he would be a perfect fit in our media relations department.”

A basketball toted around the world by Angelina and Noel Andreoni and shot by more than 4,200 people in various countries will arrive at the NBA Store in midtown Manhattan today.
The Andreonis traveled through all 50 states and 28 countries, including China, Russia and Vietnam. The Spalding ball has been used by NBA stars, college players, coaches and kids.
The couple spent seven years with “One Basketball Around the World” and went to middle schools to help kids focus “on goal-setting and reaching your potential.”
In April, the Andreonis will be honored as “MVPs of Character” by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
