awsome pilot!!! thats all i want to say to this.hats off
Thats nothing, wait until terrorists get hold of the GoodYear BLIMP.
Any landing you walk away from is a good one.
I love the news story afterwards:”In other news, Channel 4 has a new helicopter pilot; Launchpad McQuack”

Fantastic attempt by the pilot to keep her up, glad everyone was ok!
Thought they woudn’t come out of it. Awesome landing. (conditionaly speaking lol)
wow
New York is looking more like Mogadishu everyday
For all of you cheering the pilots amazing abilities, I personally think he was totally out of control, screwed up, and luckily walked away. According to the NTSB investigation:”The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:The pilot’s failure to maintain control of the helicopter after a loss of hydraulic system pressure due to a failure of the hydraulic pump belt. Factors in this accident were the pilot’s misidentification of a hydraulic failure, the pilot’s subsequent failure to perform the appropriate emergency procedure, and the improper installation of the hydraulic pump belt by maintenance personnel.”Seems that he mis-interpeted the hydraulic failure and did not follow proper procedures. But then again, when you’re low, over peoples houses, trying to react properly from the 100+ emergency procedues, go “oh look, hydraulic failure’, having maybe 5-10 seconds to figure out what’s wrong, it’s a hard job - especially when you have passengers on board.
Does anyone know if this was recent? Hats off to the pilot.
How do viewers tolerate that announcers voice every day.
